My son Nicholas |
I hope you enjoy the following photos.
Looking out best
|
With
dad at hand to fix his hair, this six month old boy was bound to
look his best. |
Where did he
go?
|
Near the end of our photo-shoot this 13 month old boy crawled
off in a mad hurry to chase his cat. His mum let the cat out the
front door so he pressed his face hard against the glass and
watched him run away.
Luckily this didn't happen at the start of the shoot as it left
nice red marks on his face. Very cute! |
Do not disturb!
|
This 4
month old boy decided he wanted to have a nap. He fell asleep on
his mum's shoulder and regardless of the fact that we kept
taking photos he kept sleeping. We later passed him to his
grandma for a shot and he kept sleeping. Who was I to interfere
with his routine! |
Peek a boo!
|
While
trying to photograph this gorgeous 11 year old girl, her 12mth
old brother decided he wanted to play peek-a-boo with me. I
proceeded to bob up and down to play with him while I kept
photographing his sister. Great exercise for the legs! |
I'll get that for
you dad!
|
It didn't
matter what I tried; this young boy was more interested in his
dad's nose than looking into my camera! |
Witnessing Milestones
|
What an
absolute pleasure it was to be part of this momentous moment.
This 13mth old boy took his first step while I was shooting!
I love my job! |
Now listen here...
|
I just had to
take this shot. It was as if this gorgeous little girl (12mths old)
was saying “Now listen here doggies; I have a serious photo shoot to
do, so please behave yourselves!” |
Like father like son
|
This 8
month old little boy looked so much like his dad - even from the
back! |
My pick
|
No matter what we have
in mind, children are usually in a world of their own! |
Don't mind me Mum & Dad
|
This 6
week old little boy waits patiently while mum catches a tender
moment with dad. |
Great eye contact
|
This 7mth old little girl was incredible: she looked straight into
the camera no matter what! |
Beauty of pregnancy
|
I mainly
photograph children, but this friend of a friend really wanted some
shots and at 35 weeks I thought I'd help her out. I think this shot
is beautiful. |
My shoes
|
This 5yr old little girl loved her new shoes -
they had butterflies on them. Of all the photos I took, I think
this may have been her favourite! |
Count me out
|
Sometimes to get the whole family in, you need to take a wider
view. This gorgeous little boy (2.5yrs old) moved closer with
every shot. |
Safety behind glass
|
Half way
through our shoot, this young lady (11mths old) decided she
wanted to have a chat with her dog. Her mum told me she sits
there every day. |
Catch me if you can
|
I love this shot. These precious kids (girl 4, boy 18mths) enjoyed
having me chase them around their front garden. Lucky for me I wear
comfy shoes! |
Deep feeling of love
|
For me, the
look in this 4 week old boy's eyes is saying "I feel safe and warm
on my mummy's shoulder." |
I need a hug
|
After some time
photographing, this little girl (4yrs old) got a little tired and
needed a hug from her 6 year old big brother. |
Let them play
|
The mum of this
little boy taught me that allowing your child to play and discover
in their own way is the key to learning. Photographing this 10mth
old boy while he discovered this water feature was incredible.
Nothing else existed for him but this water! |
Capture every mood
|
I love this shot
as it shows the many moods of babies. This little boy (8.5 months
old) went from smiling to what you see here within seconds, with no
apparent trigger. A second later he was smiling again! |
Energy Abound
|
Without a
doubt this young lady (4 years old) was my easiest client to
date. She just loved the camera. This shot was taken on a dining
room table holding the hand of her brother (9 months old), who
is being secured by mum. |
Bath lover
|
This 11 month
old young boy loved his bath! I got to see his real personality and
a sense of calmness the second he sat in the water. I'm guessing mum
and dad are having a tough time trying to get him out of the bath
these days! |
Beautiful smile
|
This gorgeous
little girl was one of my first clients and was very shy. This photo
for me signifies the moment she began to trust me. |
And
if these pictures have anything important to say to future generations,
it's this:
I was here. I existed. I was young, I was happy, and someone cared
enough about me in this world to take my picture.
