During your photo shoot I will take many photos. From these, I will choose the best 50, which you will receive on a CD from which you can print your own photos. On the CD each image will appear four times. Two in large format / high resolution (one in colour and one in black & white). These are ideal for printing. The other two will be smaller / low resolution images (colour and black & white) which you can use to e-mail to friends and family. You will be offered the option to buy any additional images for $5.00 each.

VENUE: I will come to your home or a chosen location. 

NATURAL LIGHTING: As I prefer to photograph without a flash, an area in your home that has good natural lighting (bright / sunny room) is required, or if the weather permits the shoot can take place in your garden if you have a shady area (shade is a MUST). If your home does not have adequate natural lighting or your garden or local parks do not have shade, you might like to consider a trip to the Fitzroy Gardens (Melbourne) or Australia Park (Albury). I feel I do some of my best work in garden settings. Please let me know if you would like to take up this option. The choice is yours.

TIME: The shoot will take up to two hours, depending on how long your child/ren wish to be photographed. Please allow a full two hours just to be sure. Mums and dads, when you are not being photographed yourself, you will be encouraged to assist by interacting with your child/ren to keep them calm, happy and looking in the right direction.

WHAT TO WEAR: I believe single coloured clothing produces the best photographs, as patterns detract from your face and date the photo.  I recommend NOT wearing white unless this is the colour you like on you best. I personally find white to be cold and prefer clothing with some colour to bring out warmth in your skin.

PRICING:  $440 (weekdays),  $530 (Saturdays),  $620 (Sundays).  * Share the shoot with another family and split the cost. * Payment is due at the time of shoot.

MORE INFO ON PRICING: I do not charge any additional sitting fee. I do not charge any extra editing fee. My editing is very minimal as I prefer to give you the most natural looking photos possible, however I do edit face scratches and pimples. 

OTHER (OPTIONAL) FEES::

● Photos not chosen for your CD (the "extras") will be emailed to you within a couple of days of your shoot. If you wish to purchase any of these extra images, they are $5.00 each

● Your CD is mailed via regular post. If you would like it mailed via Express Post, there is an additional fee of $10

● Additional copies of your CD are $30 each if mailed with original, or $50 each if ordered at a later date

 

PAYMENT: Cash payment is due at the time of shoot. 

MORE THAN ONE CHILD? ADDITIONAL FAMILY? PETS? Not a worry. I am happy to take photos of whom ever you wish during my time with you.

USE OF IMAGES BY ME:  After our session I will ask you to complete a form giving (or not giving) me authority to use your images. I respect that not everyone wants their photos used on my website or flyers so the choice will be yours.

COPYRIGHT: Even though I am the primary copyright holder of all photos taken, you have full permission to print, email and use your photos as you wish.

AUSTRALIAN BREASTFEEDING ASSOCIATION: As a photographer of babies and children, I often supply the Australian Breastfeeding Association with images for their use in booklets, flyers, promotional posters etc. See "Publications" page for details. Your images will never be used unless I have asked you prior and you have given written permission for their use.
A FEW TIPS :
  • To assist in a smooth process, please aim to have your child/ren well fed and rested before the shoot.
  • To get the most out of our time together, have a think about the types of photos you would like. I am happy to guide you, however your ideas are welcome and encouraged. Are there any particular poses you would like? Are there any special toys or blankets you'd like included? Did you want any skin-on-skin shots? Talk it through with your partner, as they may have ideas of their own. Some of the best shoots I've had (where clients have been the most happy) have been with clients who have practiced some of their poses in front of the mirror prior to my arrival (sounds silly, but it works! - even the most natural looking shots sometimes need a little posing).
  • Have a look through the seven pages of photos on this website for some ideas. Once you have a few ideas feel free to write them down. I can go through your list to ensure we don't miss anything.
  • Having said all that, don't be concerned if you haven't thought about it. I can guide you!
  • As some of my shots may be close-ups, you might prefer to have your child/ren's nails nicely trimmed and their face food free (unless of course we are taking photos of them eating!)
  • Sometimes between "poses" I keep shooting to capture special moments. Please keep this in mind as I'd hate you to be caught unawares!!!
  • Most of all, enjoy yourself. I'm there for you!
